Wage Order 7 § 14 requires "suitable seats" when "the nature of the work reasonably
permits the use of seats." Kilby v. CVS Pharmacy held that this is a task- and
location-specific inquiry — you ask whether the tasks performed at a given
location (a register, a counter, a fitting-room desk) reasonably permit sitting, not
whether the whole job does — and that the employer bears the burden of proving no
suitable seat is available. This analyzer walks the Kilby factors for one
workstation.
